Let’s choose a printer!

Selecting a printer can be tough given the sheer amount of options on the market, not to mention the elaborate terms that only seem to complicate the process.

This is why we’ve put together a quick and simple guide that will help you to select the printer that best suits your business needs!

The Inkjet Printer
An inkjet printer recreates a digital image by propelling droplets of ionised ink onto sheet paper. Inkjet printers are the most commonly used and range from small inexpensive consumer models to expensive professional machines. These printers produce exceptional quality prints, with resolutions of up to 600 dots per inch.

The Laser Printer
The laser printer makes use of an electrostatic digital printing process to produce high quality text and graphics. This is done by repeatedly passing a laser beam back and forth over a negatively charged cylinder called a “drum” to define a differentially charged image.

The Dot Matrix
Dot matrix is an impact printer which uses a print head that moves back-and-forth, or in an up-and-down motion on the page and prints by impact. It produces illustrations and characters by striking pins against an ink ribbon in order to print closely spaced dots in the required shape.
